529,374 books, 75,503 CDs, DVDs, games and sheetmusic items. Access to newspapers and magazines, audiobooks and digital children’s books. And so much more. Ghent Library De Krook has a variety of titles for both seasoned users and hesitant beginners. Yet it is the library staff, whose daily task is to present the collection as beautifully as humanly possible, who make Ghent Library De Krook so alluring.

In the entrance hall, Ghent Library De Krook whets the appetite with a selection of bestsellers. A few metres further on lies inspiration in the form of bookstands on current topics, interactive screens with suggestion lists and surprising themed exhibitions. On the various floors you will find fiction, non-fiction and hidden gems. A tempting offer, especially when you know that everything is completely free.

Don’t miss the monthly newspaper with the programme of activities at De Krook, as well as interviews with visiting experts. And specially for the youngsters: their own collection in a dedicated space. Including games… obviously!
